This is just a flawless rap album that is full of soul and I'm glad that Ghost isn't scared to go where he wants to go musically because it all pays off in a big way.
If you were to compare this with "A Better Tomorrow", I think you can't compare them because they are both great in their own right. Ghostface proves how strong he is on his own here though, that is without a doubt. Wow, this concept album by GFK is superb! I can’t say enough about this album GFK was on-point when he created this album. The story telling power of not only ghost but the others, such as AZ, on the album is a spectacle. Do yourself a favor and get this album and help support those who deserve it; those who still turn heads with their timeless flows and lyrics to kill for. Loved 12 Reasons, digging Sour Soul, but this one is just okay and feels a bit like a 12 Reasons knock-off "Hey, Ghost, what about another 'anti-hero is resurrected' hip-hop concept album with funky soul band accompanying?
Love AZ and Kool G Rap, but the collaborations fall flat, as they are contrived to advance the concept album's plot exposition. If you're a dyed-in-the-wool Ghost completist, your gonna cop this. If not, just download the aforementioned track and then download all of 12 Reasons including the Brown Tape and Sour Soul.
Ghostface is a excellent Hip Hop artist and is slightly underrated. This album is similar to "12 Reasons to Die" but honestly like this one way more. The storytelling, live instruments and performance from the band Revelations, Kool G Rap and AZ playing characters in the story- you can't ask for more. Plus, the inside booklet is a comic of the story.
Excellent project, Wu Tang Forever! One person found this helpful. Is it me or is Ghost only getting better with age?? I feel like Ghost had so much material from "twelve reasons to die" that it just spilled over into this album.

This is just a classic hip hop album full of soulful samples and crisp drums. Ghost face takes you a lyrical journey of his alter ego Tony Starks, in fighting crime and corruption in NY to trying to get the love of his life back.
